Several challenges and difficulties are faced by older people worldwide. Several young individuals harass older people in society, on buses, trains, and in many other places. The crimes against senior citizens are also rapidly increasing, which is a serious problem in our society. Family members, including sons and daughters, mistreating their parents and grandparents, is one of the social problems across the world. In the last several years, old-age homes have increased rapidly due to son abusing their parents and being kicked out of their homes. Thus, older people are living in these old-age homes, and it is a matter of great shame for our society.

Presently, senior citizens are mistreated by youths, which is a major problem in our society. Some family members, including sons and daughters, are also mistreating their parents and grandparents in their homes. Now, the crimes against old people are rising continuously in their homes, and it’s a very serious problem for our society. Nowadays, elderly people face several challenges, including health issues, avoidance by their family members, abuses by their sons and daughter-in-law, and many more in society across the world. Presently, there is a rapid increase in the cases of murder of elderly people who are living alone in their homes. Sometimes, elderly people were harassed by young individuals in any public place or on public transport. Many young individuals sent their parents to old-age homes, which is the main problem of our society across the world.

Elderly people may be abused physically, psychologically, and through cruel behavior in society, but the main issue of elder abuse cases, especially by their relatives, is not reported. Family members, especially children and youngsters, may abuse their parents and grandparents physically and mentally at their homes, which was not reported. Many younger individuals may abuse their parents or older individuals in their homes for property, and it is the main cause of elder abuse in our society. Presently, young individuals consider their parents or elderly people a burden and send them to old-age homes. Thus, presently, old age homes are full of old people who may be sent by their children, and the main issue of elder abuse in our society.

Now, the cases of murdering elderly individuals may be rapidly increasing, especially in big cities, which is also the main problem of elder abuse in our society. If any old individuals live alone in society, then several young individuals or criminals harass and murder them for their property. Several family members also harass their elderly relatives for their property. Some young individuals may have their parents thrown out of their houses as they consider their parents a burden in their lives. Thus, the Government should take action against those young individuals or relatives who are involved in abusing their elder family members by making a law or in many other ways. Police should also take care of old people by protecting and taking action against those young individuals who abuse their parents or older individuals in our society.

We should respect our parents, grandparents, and other older individuals in our society.  We should also honor the contributions of older individuals or senior citizens in society worldwide. You can talk to your parents to listen to their experiences, which may be beneficial for your life. In any public place or public transport, you should help old individuals by giving them a seat in any public transport, crossing the road, and many more.
