The main goal of this international day is to abolish torture anywhere in any part of the world. International Day in Support of Victims of Torture is first observed on June 26, 1998 globally. The United Nations requested to all stakeholders, members, and all governments of worldwide society to take action against the crime of torture in any part of the world on this day.
