World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is observed every year on June 15 to highlight the difficulties or issues of elderly individuals who are harmed and abused by their families and youngsters in society worldwide. The main goal of this global day is to raise awareness about the cruel behavior against old individuals by families and young people in society. This International Day provides an opportunity to obey elders people in a family or any other society and voice against elder abuses in any place. This day encourages old individuals to speak against abuse by their family members or many other young individuals worldwide.

Elderly people abuse may be abused physically, psychologically, and in cruel behavior in society but the main issue of elder abuse cases especially by their relatives was not reported. Family members especially children and youngsters may abuse their parents and grandparents physically and mentally at their homes that was not reported. Many old individuals may abuse their parents or elder individuals at their homes for property and it is the main cause of elder abuse in our society. Presently, young individuals consider their parents or old people a burden and send them to old-age homes. Thus, old age homes are full of old people who may be sent by their children and it is the main issue of elder abuse in our society.

Now, the cases of murdering elderly individuals may be rapidly increased especially in big cities which is also the main problem of elder abuse in our society. If any old individuals live alone in society, then several young individuals or criminals harass and murder for their property. Several family members also harass their old people for their property. Some young individuals may have their parents thrown out of their houses as they consider parents, a burden in their life. Thus, the government should take action against those young individuals or relatives who are involved in abusing their elder family members by making a law or many other ways. Police should also take care of old people by protecting and taking action against those young individuals who abused their parents or old individuals in our society.
