In the thrilling match between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC), DC won the super over in thrilling match with RR due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this match, DC was placed in the first or top  position with 10 points. RR was placed in the 8th position with 4 points after losing this match as per points table of IPL 2025.

Earlier, RR won the toss and chose to bowl first thus DC first batted and made a good score of 188/5 in 20 overs due to good batting by Abhishek Porel 49 (37),  K.L. Rahul 38 (32), Axar Patel 34 (14), and Tristan Stubbs 34*(18). Jofra Archer 2/32 (4), Wanindu Hasaranga 1/38 (4), and Maheesh Theekshana 1/40 (4) were good bowling from the RR side. After this inning, DC set a good target of 189 runs in 20 overs for DC to win this match.

During chasing, RR loses 4 wickets, equal the target of 188  runs in 20, and tied the match with DC due to great bowling by Axar Patel 1/23 (3), Kuldeep Yadav 1/33 (4), and Mitchell Starc 1/36 (4). Nitish Rana 51 (28), Yashasvi Jaiswal 51 (37), and Sanju Samson 31 (19) were good batting from the RR side.

In the super over match, RR scored 11/2 in 0.5 overs due to great bowling by Mitchell Starc 0/11 (5). Both Riyan Parag 4 (2) and Yashasvi Jaiswal 0 (0) were run out due to great fielding performance by the DC side. Riyan Parag 4 (2) was run out by K.L. Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal 0 (0) was run out by Jake Fraser-McGurk. Shimron Hetmyer 6* (4) was not out in the super over. After this inning, RR set a target of 12 runs in 1 over for DC to win this match.

During chasing, DC reached the target of 12 in only 4 balls and won the super over match with RR due to good batting by K.L. Rahul 7* (3) and Tristan Stubbs 6* (1). Sandeep Sharma 0/13 (0.4) were bowling from the RR side in the super over.

Mitchell Starc (DC), 1/36 (4) & 0/11 (0.4/), was declared as the Player of the Match due to great performance in bowling especially the last over, which tied the match and won the super over against RR.
