In the fifth or high scoring match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Punjab Kings (PBKS) won the match by 11 runs with Gujarat Titans (GT) due to great performance in batting. After winning this match, PBKS was placed in the third position with 2 points and high run rate as compared with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC).

Earlier, GT won the toss and chose to bowl first thus PBKS first batted and made a huge score of 243/5 in 20 overs due to great batting by Shreyas Iyer 97* (42), Priyansh Arya 47 (23), and Shashank Singh 44* (16). Sai Kishore 3/30 (4), Kagiso Rabada 1/41 (4), and Rashid Khan 1/48 (4) were good bowling from the GT side. After this inning, PBKS set a huge target of 244 runs in 20 overs for GT to win this match.

During chasing, GT loses 5 wickets,  scored 232/5 in 20 overs, and lose this match by 11 runs with PBKS due to great bowling by Arshdeep Singh 2/36 (4), Glenn Maxwell 1/26 (2), and Marco Jansen 1/44 (4). Sai Sudharsan 74 (41), Jos Butler 54 (33), and Sherfane Rutherford 46 (28) were good batting from the GT side.

Shreyas Iyer (PBKS), 97* (42), was declared as the Player of the Match due to great performance in batting in this match.
