Introduction – Fasting is compulsory and strictly observed by all Muslims in the holy month of Ramadan every year across the world for 29 or 30 days that depend on the sighting of the moon. During fasting (Roza), Muslims strictly avoid eating anything not even fruits, and drinking any fluid including water from sunrise to sunset for around 13-14 hours in the summer season every year for 29 or 30 days. They also avoid even tobacco and other similar things in the holy month of Ramadan.

Presently, Ramadan is celebrated across the world including India. Fasting (Roza) is obligatory for all Muslims in the holy month of Ramadan worldwide. During fasting (roza) from sunrise to sunset, we are instructed to avoid drinking fluid including water, consuming food, and smoking. Fasting (Roza) is good for your health, if properly put into practice in the sacred month of Ramadan. Fasting (Roza) helps in reducing or maintaining blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, and weight which is good for heart health, eliminating toxins from the human body, decreasing fat stores in the body, and many more. It is also beneficial in boosting immunity and healthy eating habits.
Now, fasting is a practice that has been associated with every religion that helps in maintaining blood sugar, reducing weight, good for heart health, and many more. Several individuals observe weekly fasting at the age of 40 which is good for their health.

Health Benefits of Fasting (Roza) – Fasting (Roza) helps in improving the digestive system effectively and promoting healthy bowel function so it improves the metabolic system. As per the study, regular fasting in Ramadan helps in reducing cholesterol in the blood. which lowers the risk of heart attack, or a stroke. Fasting (Roza) also helps in making a strong immune system that is beneficial in preventing infectious diseases During fasting (Roza), when no food is consumed by the human body then the body converts the stored fat into energy which releases chemicals from the fatty reserves that results in the elimination of toxins from the human body. The fat is burnt in the time of fasting which helps in lowering the weight of the human body.
As per research, fasting helps in lowering sugar levels in the blood, reducing or maintaining blood pressure, reducing body mass, and enhancing insulin sensitivity and levels of HDL (good) cholesterol which is also good for heart health. The main advantage of fasting (roza) is to reduce obesity which is inked with several other diseases and is also not good for heart health Fasting (Roza) also helps in avoiding overeating due to it controls the hunger hormone levels such as ghrelin which helps in preventing obesity which is associated with many serious diseases.
Fasting (Roza) is also restricted tobacco, smoking, and many other bad habits that lower the risk of several types of cancers including lung cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer, and many more, It is also restricted in making physical relationships thus it helps in reducing the risk of several sexual transmitted diseases including HIV and AIDS.
