Introduction – Shaban is the 8th and most significant month of the Islamic or Hijri calendar and is the last lunar month before the holy month of Ramadan. It will be celebrated or fall between the sacred month of Rajab and the fasting or holy month of Ramadan. Shaban is a very important month for Muslims and is a significant time of spiritual preparation that precedes the sacred or holy month of Ramadan.

In the month of Shaban, most Muslims start preparing for fasting in the holy month of Ramadan. It is the precious month because it is the month of the Prophet Mohammad. Shaban may be expected to start tomorrow January 31, 2025, which depends on the sighting of the moon. Muslims celebrated the month of Shaban across the world and was the favorite month of Prophet Mohammad in the case of worship. The main advantage of fasting and worship in the month of Shaban is that it provides an opportunity to train fast for the preparation of the holy month, Ramadan. Several individuals may fast in the month of Shaban in preparation for Ramadan.

Shab-e-Barat is one of the most sacred nights of the mid-Shaban that is known as the night of forgiveness and is celebrated on the 15th night of the month, Shaban. As per the Islamic Calendar, it will be celebrated between the night of 14th and 15th in the month of Shaban. Muslims celebrated the 15th Shaban by burning candles and agarbatti on the graves of loved ones and offering prayers on the night of forgiveness.
