Several Indian leaders or politicians who died in the year 2024 are discussed below –

- Lasya Nanditha – Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA, G. Lasya Nanditha died at the age of 37 due to a tragic road accident at about 6:30 am in the Sangareddy district in the state of Telangana on February 23, 2024 morning. Lasya Nanditha won the election from the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency and defeated Ganesh N of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) by 17,169 votes in the Telangana assembly elections in the year 2023. Previously, the father of Lasya Nanditha G. Sayanna was the sitting MLA from Secunderabad Cantonment but he died at the age of 71 due to cardiac arrest on February 19, 2023.
- Sushil Kumar Modi – Indian Politician, and BJP leader, Sushil Kumar Modi died at the age of 72 on May 13, 2024, due to cancer. He was diagnosed with cancer about six months ago as Sushil Kumar Modi revealed on his Social Media Website on April 3, 2024 before death. Earlier, he was a deputy Chief minister and a Finance Minister of Bihar between 2005 and 2013 and 2017 and 2020.
- Natwar Singh – Indian Diplomat and Politician, Natwar Singh died at the age of 93 on August 10, 2024. He also worked as the Minister of External Affairs between May 2004 and December 2005 under the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the UPA Government. Later, Congress suspended Natwar Singh in the year 2006 and he joined the BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) political party but he was rusticated for around four months.
- Sitaram Yechury – Indian Marxist politician, Sitaram Yechury died at the age of 72 on September 12, 2024, due to an acute respiratory infection. The body of Sitaram Yechury was donated to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) for research by his relatives. He was a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) since 1992 and was also the General Secretary of CPI (M). Earlier, he was a Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha in the state of West Bengal between 2005 and 2017.
- Ratan Tata – Indian Great Indian Industrialist Ratan Tata died on October 9, 2024, at the age of 86, due to age-related medical conditions at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, in the state of Maharashtra. The State Government announced a day of mourning to pay tribute to Ratan Tata in the state of Maharashtra. Indian Industrialist Ratan Tata was the Chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Group between 1990 and 2012 and later worked as interim chairman between October 2016 and February 2017. In the past, Ratan Tata received the award of the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest award or civilian honor in India in the year 2008, He also received the award of Padma Bhushan, the third-highest award or civilian honor in our country in the year 2000.
- Baba Siddique – Indian politician, Baba Siddique was shot dead at the age of 66 on October 12, 2024, in Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra. Earlier, he was also the MLA (member of the Legislative Assembly) in the Vandre West Assembly constituency in Bandra, Mumbai the state of Maharashtra. Baba Siddique also worked as a Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies (FDA) and Labour from 2004 to 2008 under the leadership or the chief minister of Maharashtra, Vilasrao Deshmukh.
- Om Prakash Chautala – Indian leader and politician, Om Prakash Chautala died due to cardiac arrest at the age of 89 on December 20, 2024, in Gurugram in the state of Haryana. He was a former chief minister of Haryana and a son of Chaudhary Devi Lal who was the former deputy prime minister of India between 1989 and 1990. Om Prakash Chautala belongs to the Jat community and became or served or worked as the five times chief minister of Haryana
- Manmohan Singh – Indian former prime minister, Manmohan Singh died at the age of 92 due to age-related medical issues on December 26, 2024, at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. Manmohan Singh worked as a prime minister between 2004 and 2014 for almost 10 years with two continuous terms in the UPA Government. Manmohan Singh also worked in several other important posts in the Government of India including Chief Economic Advisor from 1972 to 1976, Governor of the Reserve Bank of India from 1982 to 1985, and head of the Planning Commission from 1985 to 1987.
