Masjid al-Ghamamah is one of the oldest mosques and is located near to Masjid al-Nabawi in the city of Medina, Saudi Arabia. The word Ghamama means cloud (badal) and is a historical site where the Prophet Muhammad performed an Eid Prayer (Namaz) in the Masjid of Al-Ghamamah in the year 631 thus, Masjid al-Ghamama is also popularly called as Masjid Eid.

Muslims also believed about Masjid al-Ghamama that when the people of Medina faced severe drought or shortage of rain or water then Prophet Muhammad offered namaz (prayer) Salat ul-Istasqa for rain and resolved the drought problem. Due to being near to Masjid Al-Nabawi, Masjid al-Ghamma was closed for people to offer namaz (prayer) in the city of Medina, Saudi Arabia
I also visited Masjid al-Ghamama and offered namaz (prayer) with our family members during Umrah, which feels relax in the city of Medina, Saudi Arabia. During Umrah, I was excited to visit Masjid al-Ghamama where the Prophet Muhammad offered Eid Namaz in the year 631, thus this masjid is also called as Masjid Eid. I was delighted to visit Masjid al-Ghmama where Prophet Muhammad offered Namaz (prayer) Salat ul-Istasqa for rain and resolved the drought problem.
