World Food Day was founded in the year 1979 when the 20th Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) conference announced that this global day will be celebrated every year on October 16 across the world. The main aim of this international day is to spread awareness about malnutrition, hunger, and encourage sustainable solutions for a hunger-free world.
