How to perform Umrah– Firstly, Muslim individuals must wear Ihram clothing to perform Umrah at Kaaba in Mecca, Saudia Arabia. Ihram or Ahram clothing is a state of purification for pilgrims before performing Umrah by cleansing rituals, wearing the arranged or prescribed attire, and refraining from certain activities and must be attained when you reach a Miqat in any mosque including Masjid ash-Shajarah, and many more. Miqat is a principal boundary in which Muslim individuals aim to perform Umrah and they must be in the state of Ihram.
Muslim pilgrims must perform two important rituals for Umrah such as Tawaf and Sai. Tawaf is a circling around 7 times to Kaaba and is followed by Sai which walk from the hillocks of Safa to Marwah in the sacred mosque, Masjid al-Haram Great Mosque of Mecca to honor the Hagar’s search for water for her son, Hazrat Ishmael.
