Introduction – Praveen Kumar is an Indian Para Athlete who won the gold medal in the men’s high jump at the Paris Paralympics 2024. Earlier, he also won the silver medal in the men’s high jump T64 at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. He also won the gold medal in the men’s high jump at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in the year 2022.

Personal Details – Praveen Kumar was born in Govindgarh Village, GautamBudh Nagar in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, Praveen Kumar studied at Pragyan Public School till class 12th, Jewar, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He belongs to the Jat family and did his graduation in Motilal Nehru College.
Achievements – The main achievement of Praveen Kumar is to win the gold medal with the best jump of 2.08m in the men’s high jump T64 event at the Paris Paralympics 2024. Earlier, he also won the silver medal with the best jump of 2.07m in the men’s javelin throw T64 event at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
Earlier, he also won the gold medal with the best jump of 2.05m and break the Asian record in the men’s javelin throw T64 event at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in the year 2022.
