Introduction – Nitesh Kumar is an para-badminton player who won the gold medal in badminton in the men’s singles SL3 event at the Paris Paralympics 2024. He also won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals at the Para Asian Games in the whole career. Nitesh Kumar also won 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal at the World Championships.

Personal Life and career – Nitesh Kumar was born on December 30 in the year 1994 in Bas Kirtan in the state of Rajasthan. In the train accident, he lost his left leg in Vishakapatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh in the year 2009. Later, he prepared for IIT exam competition in one year and joined Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi in the year 2014. After that, he started playing badminton at his college IIT Mandi in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
Later, Nitesh Kumar was settled in Karnal and represented the Harayana team in the year 2016 in the Para National Championships. He debuted in the international in the 2016 and won the first title in the Irish Para Badminton International.
Achievements – Presently, Nitesh Kumar wom the final or gold medal para badminton match by 21-14, 18-21, and 23-21 with Daniel Bethell of Great Britain in the men’s singles SL3 event at the Paris Paralympics 2024.
Nitesh Kumar won the gold medal in badminton in the men’s doubles (SL3-SL4) para badminton event at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in the year 2022. He also won the silver medal in the men’s singles pata badminton SL3 event at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in the year 2022. He also won the bronze medal in the mixed doubles para badminton match at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in the year 2022.
Nitesh Kumar won the bronze medal in the men’s doubles (SL3-SL4) para badminton match event at the Asian Para Games in Jakarta in the year 2018.
Nitesh Kumar won the silver medal in the men’s singles para badminton SL3 event at the World Championships in Tokyo in the year 2022. He also won the silver medal in the men’s doubles (SL3-SL4) para badminton event at the World Championships in Basel in the year 2019. He also won the bronze medal in the men’s singles SL3 para badminton event at the World Championships in Pattaya in the year 2024.
