It’s a very proud moment for our country that Indian Para Athlete, Simran Sharma created history and won the bronze medal in the women’s 200m race T12 event at the Paris Paralympics 2024. After winning the bronze medal, India won 29 medals including 7 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and 13 bronze medals at the Paris Paralympics 2024.

Simran Sharma was placed in the third position with the timing of 24.75 seconds and won the historical bronze medal in the women’s 200m race T12 event at the Paris Paralympics 2024. In the same event, Omara Durand (Cuba) won the gold medal with the timing of 23.62 seconds and Alejandra Perez (Venezuela) won the silver medal with the timing of 24.19 seconds at the Paris Paralympics 2024

Earlier, Simran Sharma won the silver medal in the women’s 100m race T12 event at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in the year 2022. She also won the silver medal in the women’s 200m race T12 event at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in the year 2022.

Simran Sharma also won the gold medal in the women’s 200m race T12 event at the World Para Championships in Kobe in the year 2024.
