It’s a very proud moment for our country that Indian Para Athlete, Deepthi Jeevanji scripted history and won the bronze medal in race in the women’s 400 T20 event at the Paris Paralympics 2024. After winning the bronze medal, India won 16 medals including 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 8 bronze medals at the Paris Paralympics 2024.

Deepthi Jeevanji was placed in the third position with the timing of 55.82 seconds and won the historical bronze medal in race in the women’s 400m race T20 event at the Paris Paralympics 2024. In the same event, Yuliia Shuliar (Ukraine) won the gold medal with the timing of 55.16 seconds and Aysel Onder (Turkey) won the silver medal with the timing of 55.23 second at the Paris Paralympics 2024.
Earlier, Deepthi Jeevanji won the gold medal by making the world record or best timing of 55.06 seconds in race in the women’s 400m T20 at the World Championships in Kobe in the year 2024. She also won the gold medal with the timing of 55.12 seconds and broke the Asian Para Games record in race in the women’s 400m T20 event at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in the year 2022.
