It’s a very heartbreaking and sad news that Indian star wrestler, Vinesh Phogat disqualified from the Paris Olympics 2024 wrestling due to overweight in the women’s freestyle 50 kg event. India may hope for gold in the wrestling event but now Vinesh Phogat will not get any medal in this event.

Earlier, Vinesh Phogat reached the final by winning match against Yusneylys Guzman of Cuba by 5-0 in the women’s freestyle 50 kg at the Paris Olympics 2024. After winning this match, Vinesh Phogat become the first Indian woman to reach the women’s freestyle 50 kg final. Vinesh assured medal for India after winning semi-final match in the women’s freestyle 50 kg event at the Paris Olympics 2024.
