In the third T20 match between India and Sri Lanka, India won the third T20 match by winning super over match with Sri Lanka due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this match, India won the series by (3-0) in the three T20 match series against Sri Lanka.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bowl first thus India made a low score of 137/9 in 20 overs due to great bowling by Maheesh Theekshana 3/28 (4), Wanindu Hasaranga 2/29 (4), Asitha Fernando 1/11 (2), Chamindu Wickramasinghe 1/17 (4), and Ramesh Mendis 1/26 (3). Shubman Gill 39 (37), Riyan Parag 26 (18), and Washington Sundar 25 (18) were good batting from the Indian side. After this inning, India set a low target of 138 runs in 20 overs for Sri Lanka to win this match.

During chasing, Sri Lanka also scored 137/8 in 20 overs and tied the match with India due to great bowling by Rinku Singh 2/3 (1), Suryakumar Yadav 2/5 (1), Washington Sundar 2/23 (4), and Ravi Bishnoi 2/38 (4). Kusal Perera 46 (34), Kusal Mendis 43 (41), and Pathum Nissanka 26 (27) were good batting from the Sri Lanka side. The match between India and Sri Lanka tied so super over is need to decide the result of the match.

In the super over, Sri Lanka scored 2/2 in 3 balls due to great bowling by Washington Sundar 2/2 (0.3).

India won the super over match in only one ball to chase 3 runs in 6 balls via Suryakumar Yadav 4* (1) hit four in the first ball of super over by Maheesh Theekshana. In this way India won the third T20 match by winning super over  with  Sri Lanka in the third or last T20 match.

Washington Sundar (IND), 25/18 & 2/23 (4) & 2/2 (0.3), was declared as the Player of the Match due to great performance in batting and bowling.

Suryakumar Yadav (IND) , was declared as the Player of the Tournament due to great performance in batting in the whole series.
