Earlier, Nepal won the toss and chose to bowl first thus Bangladesh first batted and was all out at only 106/10 runs in 19.3 overs due to great batting by Sompal Kami 2/10 (3), Sandeep Lamichhane 2/17 (4), and Rohit Paudel 2/20 (4). Shakib Al Hasan 17 (22), Rishad Hossain 13 (7), and Mahmudullah 13 (13) were good batting from the Bangladesh side. After this inning, Bangladesh set a low target of 107 runs in 20 overs for Nepal to win this match.

During chasing, Nepal was all out at only  85/10 and lost the match by 21 runs with Bangladesh due to great bowling by Tanzim Hasan Shakib 4/7 (4), Mustafizur Rahman 3/7 (4), Shakib Al Hasan 2/9 (2.2), and Taskin Ahmed 1/29 (4). Kushal Malla 27 (40), Dipendra Singh Airee 25 (31), and Aasif Sheikh 17 (14) were good batting from the Nepal side.

Tanzim Hasan Shakib (BAN), 4/7 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match due to great performance in bowling.
