Eid-al-Adha is celebrated annually on the 10^th day of Zilhijj (the last month of lunar calendar) as per the Islamic Calendar. Presently, Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on June 17, 2024, with great excitement and happiness. The main aim of celebrating Eid-al-Adha is to honor, recognize, and devotion of Prophet Ibrahim who was ready to sacrifice his son Prophet Ismail to satisfy his God. Later, God was impressed or happy with the loyalty or devotion of Prophet Ibrahim and replaced Prophet Ismail with a lamb or goat. Therefore, Muslims perform sacrifices of animals especially lamb on Eid-al Adha as a tribute or honor to Prophet Ibrahim. All Muslims must share the meat among family members, and poor individuals equally.

On this day, Firstly, Muslims bathe, wear new clothes, and go to offer prayers (namaz) in Mosques or Eidgahs in the morning. After prayer (Namaz) in Mosque, they embrace or hug each other and wish Eid Mubarak to each other on this day. A special dish sweet (Sawai) will be cooked on this day and given to close friends, relatives, neighbors, and many more. Devotees will take sweet (Sawai) with their family members at their homes after prayer (namaz). On this day, several delicious dishes are made to celebrate Eid-ul-Zuha with our family members with great excitement and happiness.

Most Muslims performed Haj on Eid-al-Adha across the world. All Muslims Must perform Haj on Bakrid thus every Muslim must at least once travel to Meccah for Haj in Saudi Arabia in their lifetime when they are physically and financially stable. It is important to note that Hajj is also one of the five pillars of Islam, which is performed on Eud-al-Adha in Meccah, Saudi Arabia thus Muslims must perform Haj on Bakrid
