In the match between Afghanistan and Uganda of T20 World Cup 2024, Afghanistan won the match by 125 runs with Uganda due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this match, Afghanistan was placed in the first position with 2 points in team C group and is a better run rate as compared with West Indies as per the points table of T20 World Cup 2024.

Earlier, Uganda won the toss and chose to bowl first thus Afghanistan first batted and made a huge score of 183/5 in 20 overs due to great batting by Rahmanullah Gurbaz 76  (45), Ibrahim Zadran 70 (46), and Mohammad Nabi 14* (16). Brian Masaba 2/21 (4), Cosmas Kyewuta 2/25 (4), and Alpesh Ramjani 1/33 (4) were good bowling from the Uganda side. After this inning, Afghanistan set a huge target of 184 runs in 20 overs for Uganda to win this match.

During chasing, Uganda was all out at only 58/10 in 16 overs and lost the match by 125 runs with Afghanistan due to great bowling by Fazalhaq Farooqi 5/9 (4), Naveen-ul-Haq 2/4 (2), and Rashid Khan 2/12 (4). Robinson Obuya 14 (25), Riazat Ali Shah 11 (34), and Bilal Hassan 8 (16) were good batting from the Uganda side.
