In the final match of IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the match by 8 wickets with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this final match, KKR won the third title of IPL

Earlier, SRH won the toss and chose to bat first and was all out at only 113/10 in 18.3 overs due to great bowling by Andre Russell 3/19 (2.3), Mitchell Starc 2/14 (3), and Harshit Rana 2/24 (4). Pat Cummins 24 (19), Aiden Markram 20 (23), and Heinrich Klaasen 16 (17) were good batting from the SRH side. After this inning, SRH set a very low or easy target of 114 runs in 20 overs for KKR to win this match.

During chasing, KKR lost 2 wickets, reached the target of 114 runs in 10.3 overs, and won the match by 8 wickets with SRH due to great batting by Venkatesh Iyer 52* (26) and Rahmanullah Gurbaz 39 (32). Both Pat Cummins 1/18 (2) and Shahbaz Ahmed 1/22 (2.3) were wicket-taker bowlers from the SRH side.

Mitchell Starc (KKR), 2/14 (3), was declared as the Player of the Match due to great performance in bowling in the final match.

Sunil Naraine (KKR) was declared as the Player of the Tournament due to great performance in batting and bowling.
