In the Qualifier 2 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), SRH won the match by 36 runs with RR due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this match, SRH reached the final of IPL 2024 and will play match with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Earlier, RR won the toss and chose to bowl first thus SRH first batted and made a good score of 175/9 in 20 overs due to great batting by Heinrich Klaasen 50 (34), Rahul Tripathi 37 (15),  Travis Head 34 (28), Shahbaz Ahmed 18 (18). Avesh Khan 3/27 (4), Trent Boult 3/45 (4), and Sandeep Sharma 2/25 (4) were good bowling from the RR side. After this inning, SRH set a challengable target of 176 runs in 20 overs for RR to win this match.

During chasing, RR scored 139/7 in 20 overs and lost the match by 36 runs with SRH due to great bowling by Shahbaz Ahmed 3/23 (4), Abhishek Sharma 2/24 (4), and T. Natrajan 1/13 (3). Both Dhurv Jurel 56* (35), and Yashasvi Jaiswal 42 (21) were good batting from the RR side.

Shahbaz Ahmed (SRH), 3/23 (4) & 18(18), was declared as the Player of the Match due to great performance in batting and bowling.
