In the Qualifier 1 match, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).won the match by 8 wickets with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this match KKR reached into the final of IPL 2024. SRH will play match with that team who won the elimination match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

Earlier, SRH won the toss and chose to bat first and was all out at only 159 runs in 19.3 overs due to great bowling by Mitchell Starc 3/34 (4), Varun Chakravarthy 2/26 (4), and Andre Russell 1/15 (1.3). Rahul Tripathi 55 (35), Heinrich Klaasen 32 (21), and Pat Cummins 30 (24) were good batting from the SRH side. After this inning, SRH set a low or easy target of 160 runs in 20 overs for KKR to win this match.

During chasing, KKR lost two wickets, reached the target of 160 runs in 13.4 overs, and won the match by 8 wickets with SRH due to great batting by Shreyas Iyer 58* (24), Venkatesh Iyer 51* (28), and Rahmanullah  Gurbaz 23 (14). Both T. Natrajan 1/22 (3) and Pat Cummins 1/38 (3).were good bowling from the SRH side.

Mitchell Starc (KKR), 3/34 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match due to great performance in bowling.
