In the second test match between India and England, India won the test match by 106 runs with England due to great performance in batting and bowling. After winning this test match, India tied the series by (1-1) in the 5 test match series against England. Previously, England won the first test match by 28 runs with India.

Earlier, India won the toss and chose to bat first and scored 396 runs in 10 wickets in the first innings due to great batting by Yashasvi Jaiswal 209 (290), Shubman Gill 34 (46), Rajat Patidar 32 (72), Shreyas Iyer 27 (59), and Axar Patel 27 (51). England was all out at only 253 runs in the first innings due to great bowling by Jasprit Bumrah 6/45 (15.5), Kuldeep Yadav 3/71 (17), and Axar Patel 1/24 (4). After this inning, India leads by 143 runs with England in the first innings.

England was al lout at only 292 runs and lost the match by 106 runs with India in the second innings due to great bowling by Jasprit Bumrah 3/46 (17.2), Ravichandran Ashwin 3/72 (18), Kuldeep Yadav 1/60 (15), Mukesh Kumar 1/26 (5), and Axar Patel 1/75 (14). Zak Crawley 73 (132), Tom Hartley 36 (47), Ben Foakes 36 (69), and Ben Duckett 28 (27) were good batting from the England side.

Jasprit Bumrah (IND), 6/45 & 3/46, was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling.
