Gulbadin Naib 57 (35), Najibullah Zadran 23 (21), and Mujeeb Ur Rahman 21 (9) were good batting from the Afghanistan side. After this inning, Afghanistan set a target of 173 runs in 20 overs for India to win this match.

During chasing, India lost 4 wickets, reached the target of 173 runs in 15.4 overs, and won the match by 6 wickets with Afghanistan due to great batting by Yashasvi Jaiswal 68 (34), Shivam Dube 63* (32), and Virat Kohli 29 (16). Karim Janat 2/13 (2), Fazalhaq Farooqui 1/28 (3.4), and Naveen-Ul-Haq 1/33 (3) were good bowling from the Afghanistan side.

Axar Patel (IND), 2/17 (4), was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling.
