India won the test match by 7 wickets with South Africa

In the second test match between India and South Africa, India won the test match by 7 wickets with South Africa in only two days due to great performance by bowlers especially Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah.  After winning this test match, India drews or tied the test match series by (1-1) in the two test match series against South Africa.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first and was all out at only 55 runs in the first innings due to great bowling by Mohammed Siraj 6/15 (9), Mukesh Kumar 2/0 (2.2), and Jasprit Bumrah 2/25 (8). Both Kyle Verreynne 15 (30), and David Bedingham 12 (17) were good batting from the South African side.

India was also all out at only 153 runs in the first inning due to great bowling by Lungi Ngidi 3/30 (6), Kagiso Rabada 3/38 (11.5), and Nandre Burger 3/30 (6). Virat Kohli 46 (59), Rohit Sharma 39 (50), and Shubman Gill 36 (55) were good batting from the Indian side. The last 6 wickets fell in the score of 153 runs in the first innings. After this inning, India leads by 98 runs against South Africa in the first innings.

South Africa was all out at only 176 runs in the second innings due to great bowling by Jasprit Bumrah 6/61 (13.5), Mukesh Kumar 2/56 (10), Mohammed Siraj 1/31 (9), and Prasidh Krishna 1/27 (4). Both Aiden Markram 106 (103) and Deal Elgar 12 (28) were good batting from the South African side. After this inning, South Africa set a target of 79 runs for India to win the second test match.

India scored 80/3 and chased successfully the target of 79 runs in the second innings, and won the test match by 7 wickets with South Africa due to good batting by Yashasvi Jaiswal 28 (23), Rohit Sharma 17* (22), and Virat Kohli 12 (11). Marco Jansen 1/15 (2), Nandre Burger 1/29 (4), and Kagiso Rabada 1/34 (6) were good bowling from the South African side.

Mohammed Siraj (IND), 6/15 & 1/31, was declared as the Player of the Match due to his great performance in bowling

Dean Elgar (SA), was declared as the Player of the Series due to his great performance in batting in the test series.
