Indian archer, Jyothi Surekha Vennam defeated So Chaewon of South Korea 149-145 in the final match and won the gold medal in the Asian Games 2023. Earlier, Jyothi Surekha Vennam was a part of the Indian women’s archer team that included Parneet Kaur and Aditi Gopichand Swami to won a gold medal in the women’s compound archery at the Asian Games 2023. Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Ojas Pravin Deotale won the historical or first-ever gold medal in the mixed team compound archery in the Asian Games 2023.
