Earlier, Avinash Sable won the historic gold medal in the men’s 3000m steeplechase with a timing of 8:19:50 seconds at the Asian Games 2023.

Birhanu Yemataw Balew of Bahrain won the gold medal with a timing of 13:17:40 seconds in the ongoing Asian Games 2023. Bahrain’s Dawit Fikadu Admasu settled for the bronze medal with a timing of 13:25:63 seconds at the Asian Games 2023.
