Parul Chaudhary won the gold medal in the women’s 5000m race with the best time of 15: 14.75 seconds at the Asian Games. Earlier, she also won the silver medal in the women’s 3000m steeplechase with the best effort of 9:27.63 seconds in the Asian Games 2023. Previously, Annu Rani won the gold medal in the women’s 3000m steeplechase in the Asian Athletics Championships 2023 Bangkok. She also won the silver medal in the women’s 5000m race at the Asian Athletics Championships 2023 Bangkok.
There is another Indian athlete, Ankita was placed in the 5th position with the best time of 15:33.03 seconds in the ongoing Asian Games 2023. Japan’s Ririka Hironaka won the silver medal with the best time of 15:15.34 seconds and Kazakhstan’s Caroline Kipkirui clinched the bronze medal with the best time of 15:23.12 seconds in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
