It’s a very proud moment for our country that the Indian athlete Annu Rani created history and won the gold medal in athletics in the ongoing Asian Games 2023. She won the first-ever gold medal in the women’s javelin throw at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.

Indian Javelin thrower, Annu Rani won the gold medal in the women’s javelin throw with the best throw of 62.92m at the Asian Games 2023. Earlier, she won the bronze medal in the women’s javelin throw at the Asian Games 2014 Incheon. Annu Rani also won the bronze medal in the women’s javelin throw at the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham.

Nadeesha Dilhan of Sri Lanka won the silver medal with the best throw of 61.57m and China’s Huihui Lyu clinched the bronze medal with the best throw of 61.29m in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
