It’s a very proud moment for our country that the Indian men’s badminton team created history and won the first-ever silver medal in the Asian Games 2023. Indian men’s badminton team won the silver medal by losing the gold medal match 2-3 with the Chinese men’s badminton team. Indian men’s badminton won a silver medal first time in the continental event.

In the first match, Lakshya Sen won the match 22-20, 14-21, and 21-18 with Shi Yuqi of China. In the second match, the Indian pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy defeated the Chinese pair of Wang Chang and Laing Weikeng in straight games by 21-15 and 21-18.

In the third match, Srikanth Kidambi lost the match with Li Shi Feng by 22-24, and 9-21. In the fourth match, the Indian pair of Dhruv Kapila and Sai Pratheek lost the match Chinese pair by 6-21 and 15 -21 in the second doubles match. In the fifth or decider match, Mithun Manjunath lost the decider match with Wen Hong Yan of China by 12-21 and 4- 21.
