It’s a very proud moment for our country that Indian athlete Avinash Sable won the gold medal in athletics at the Asian Games 2023. He won the gold medal in the men’s 3000m Steeplechase in the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.

Avinash Kable won the gold medal in the men’s 3000m steeplechase with a best timing of 8:19:50 seconds in the ongoing Asian Games 2023. He broke the earlier Asian Game record of Iran’s Hossein Kayhani held the previous record of 8:22:79 seconds in the Asian Games 2018,

 After winning this gold medal, Avinash became the first Indian athlete male individual to win a gold medal in the men’s 3000m steeplechase event in the Asian Games 2023. It is the first gold medal of India in the steeplechase event after 13 years.  Earlier, Sudha Singh won the gold medal in the women’s 3000m steeplechase event at the Asian Games 2010.
