Kusal Mendis 17 (34), Dushan Hemantha 13* (15), and Dunith Wellalage 8 (21) were the three top scorers from the Sri Lankan side. After this inning, Sri Lanka set a very low target of 51 runs in 50 overs for India to win the Asia Cup 2023 final match.
During chasing, India reached 51 runs in only 6.1 overs without losing any wickets and won the match by 10 wickets with Sri Lanka due to a good opening partnership by Shubman Gill 27* (19) and Ishan Kishan 23* (18). No one bowler took any wicket from the Sri Lankan side.
