In the first T20 match between India and Ireland, India won the match by only 2 runs (DLS method) with Ireland due to good performance in bowling. After winning this match, India leads by (1-0) in the three T20 match series against Ireland.

Earlier, India won the toss and chose to bowl first thus Ireland first batted and made a low score of 139/7 in 20 overs due to great bowling by Ravi Bishnoi 2/23 (4), Jasprit Bumrah 2/24 (4), Prasidh Krishna 2/32 (4) and Arshdeep Singh 1/35 (4). Barry McCarthy 51* (33), Curtis Campher 39 (33), and Mark Adair 16 (16) were good batting from the Ireland side. After this inning, Ireland set a low target of 140 runs in 20 overs for India to win the first T20 match.

Due to rain, India played only 6.5 overs and scored 47/2, and won the match by only 2 runs (DLS method) with Ireland. Yashasvi Jaiswal 24 (23), and Ruturaj Gaikwad 19* (16) were good batting from the Indian side. There is only Craig 2/2 (0.5) was a wicket-taker bowler and good bowling from the Ireland side.
