Introduction – Now, there are several cases when an individual can affair or have sex with multiple partners across the world. If any individual has sexual activity with more than one person at the same time then it can be said to have several sex partners. After married, some people may have sex with other partners as they are not satisfied with their husband or wife so it can be said to have several sexual partners. Multiple sex partners can also mean that any individual can have a long-term relationship when the second relationship starts thus this individual may be said to have several sex partners.

As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), youths’ adults having several sexual partners in the previous year indicates an increase in the death rates due to HIV/AIDS infection.

Risks of multiple sexual partners – There are some risks of having multiple sexual partners are discussed below –

• AIDS – When any person has sex with many partners, then it enhances the risk of developing bacterial vaginosis. Sex with multiple partners can cause in pregnant women which also enhances the risk of contracting the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).  Normally, HIV is strongly linked to several sex partners. When you have sex with multiple partners the it may also enhance the risk of AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome).
• Unwanted pregnancies – Multiple sexual partners also increased the risk of unwanted pregnancy and transmitting a sexual disease.
• Increase the risk of sexually transmitted diseases– If any person has sex with multiple partners, then it may enhance the risk of sexually transmitted diseases as compared with a less sexually active person.
• Increase the risk of cancer – As per a study, when any individual (male and female) had made a sexual relationship with multiple partners then it may enhance the risk of cancers as compared with a less sexually active person (male and female).  It may be dangerous to have sex with multiple partners without any precautions.
