Happy Father’s Day 2022

Introduction – Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June every year across the world. Thus, it is celebrated on June 19 Sunday in the year 2022.  It is also celebrated in several parts of the world at different times of the year. This day is celebrated for appreciating and acknowledging the important role of fathers that plays a significant role in the child’s life. A father is a role model, friend, protector, and superhero in their children’s life.

History – Firstly, Father’s Day is celebrated in the United States when hundreds of men died in a mining accident in West Virginia, USA on July 5, 1908. Grace Golden was the first person who suggested a Sunday for all those male people who lost their lives in the mining accident. After some years, Sonora Smart Dodd proposed the idea to celebrate Father’s Day in honor of her father, William Jackson, who was a civil war expert, and who raised her with her five siblings as a single parent. When Sonora Smart Dodd completed her education, she started promoting Father’s Day at a national level. When President Richard Nixon signed a declaration in 1972 then Father’s Day started gaining popularity in the United States. Thus, Father’s Day is observed on the third Sunday of June annually all around the world.

Significance – Fathers plays an important in the child’s life as a guardian, role model, and superhero. On this day, children share their cards, and flowers to show their love for their fathers. Children are also celebrating this day to plan a dinner in any hotel with their fathers. Fathers are heroes who work hard and maintain their families including children financially and physically healthy.

Father also plays a significant role in making career and financially strong for the future of their children to live independently without any support. Several children also celebrated this day by several activities such as shopping, camping, watching movies, fishing, and many more that helps in making a strong relationship with their father.
