Nuclear War

Introduction – Nuclear war is a military conflict between countries that deploys nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons are those weapons of mass destruction that produce damage in a very short time with a long-lasting radiological result. After a nuclear war, there is a major nuclear exchange would have long-term effects and also lead to a nuclear winter for decades or centuries. During a nuclear war, lakhs of people were dead and lost in crores or more.

Types of nuclear war – There are two types of nuclear war that are based on using nuclear weapons is normally divided into two subgroups with different effects are given below –

  • Limited nuclear war – This type of nuclear war refers to a small-scale use of nuclear weapons attack on the enemy country.  A limited nuclear war may target the military facilities of an enemy country. In a limited nuclear war, it can apply small-scale use of nuclear weapons which may a involve military or civilian target.
  • Fullscale nuclear war – This type of nuclear war refers to the use of a large number of nuclear weapons to attack the whole country including economic, civilian, and military targets. Full-scale nuclear war certainly destroys the entire social, military, and economic infrastructure of the enemy country. This type of nuclear war occurs between two developed countries. A limited nuclear war may be converted into a full-scale nuclear war between two powerful countries.
