The constitution is very important because it ensures that a powerful group does not use power against a weaker section of society. A constitution defines the rights of the citizens and also guides the functioning of democracy efficiently. It protects the fundamental rights of the citizens and individual freedom.

Our country celebrates Republic Day every year on Jan 26 which is the day of enforcement of our constitution and replacing the Government of India Act 1935. The constitution guarantees the fundamental rights of the citizen of India which are namely
- Right to freedom
- Right to equality
- Right to freedom of religion
- Right against exploitation
- Right to cultural and educational rights
- Right to constitutional remedies
Fundamental rights for Indians prohibit discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, place of birth, religion, and caste.
The fundamental rights are important as these are essential for the development of the individual personality therefore, they were included in our constitution. The constitution is important because it helps to serve the nation within a set of laws and principles.
Excellent information on the Constitution of India. Very perfect post on the eve of our Republic Day. Great work.
