Depression – It is one of the common problems especially in youth or teenagers who cause changes in mood and loss of interest. It is one of the mental disorders that adversely affects on how you feel, daily routine activities including working, sleeping or eating.
Symptoms of depression – There are some of the symptoms of depression which are as given below –
- Sadness
- Anxious mood
- Loss of interest in gathering event or hobbies
- Problem in sleeping
- Helplessness
- Concentration problem
- Difficulty in taking decisions
- Loneliness
- Not talk with any friends or family members
- Suicidal thoughts or attempts
- Feeling of hopelessness
- Eating too much or too less
- Changes in weight
Causes of depression – There are some causes of depression which are as given below –
- Unemployment
- Boy friend or girl friend relationship
- Afraid of failure in study or in any activities
- Death of loved one’s
- Poor Nutrition
- Physical health problems
- Financial problem
- Alone in life
- Avoid by friends or family members
- Not support with closed one’s
- Stress
- Tension in marriage relationship or with family members
Music helps in relieving depression – Music is one of the important ways for reducing depression. Slow music helps in reducing in depression. The music changes the mood of an individual during stress or depression and it’s a great time pass as most of the youths in home due to corona virus.
Music relaxes and energize the mind that encourage to work which lowering the depression. When I was stress or in depression then I listen slow music helps in relaxing the mind and better sleep which help in relieving the depression. As per study, listening music influence the feelings, behaviors, thoughts and behaviors. Music therapies are helpful in promoting emotional health, boost psychological and manage with stress.
Music is beneficial in several ways in reducing depression which are as given below –
- Music helps in better sleep – Insomnia or sleeping problem is a serious problem which may be cause by stressor depression. As per study, listening music help in relax the mind and helps in better sleep that also beneficial in lowering the depression.
- Music improves motivation – Nowadays youth can work with listening work that relax and energize the mind. As per study, listening fast music helps in youth to work harder with enjoying music including exercise in home or in gyms which is also helpful in reducing depression.
- Music improves memory – Music also helps in improving memory that may affect by depression. As per research, it is observe that when any students learning a new language with singing new words then improvement in their knowledge and also in memory. During depression it also effect on memory thus if music are beneficial in improving memory then also helpful in lowering depression.
- Music control pain – if you are suffering with large emotional pain that may causes depression. Listening music helps in reducing pain by changing the mood that also beneficial in lowering or relieve in depression.
- Music improves mood – Music plays an important role in changing the mood during stress or depression. As per study, It boosts the mood by listening positive music which also helps in relieves stress or depression. So if you are in depression listening music plays an important in decreasing depression.
- Music may lower the symptoms of depression or stress – Listening music motivates or relaxes the mind and change the mood which greatly helps in reducing the symptoms of depression. As per research, classical or meditation music helps in in changing the mood which greatly helps in reducing the depression.
- Music improves performance and endurance – There is another benefit of music is that it improves performance and endurance during work pressure or stress that helps in reducing depression. When you can work with listening music it can improve performance and motivation that are beneficial in lowering depression.

But you know.. when we are depressed we tend to listen to more depressing and sad songs. I don’t know why. And it makes us more sad. Otherwise ofcourse music helps. But still what do you think?
